The forthcoming Beach Fossils album is a part fey, part experimental – yet covered in retro tones (and always melodic) affair. Stand out track is ‘This Year’, which has a lightness of touch and, a great ringing acoustic vibe, and when those string come in it melts my heart. LOVELY. Nick Triani

Fred Thomas – Voiceover

Repeatedly hearing how the revived “extra long album” also reads as a novel (Sun Kil Moon, Father John Misty…) it is a relief to witness someone still mastering the concise form. No frills indie rock, but it works: Fred Thomas always reminds me of The Mountain Goats. Joni Kling
