Welcome to Tales From The Bus, an occasional series where Anna Jokela makes her regular travels more bearable by listening in. In the fourth and final episode, a Mom and her kids discuss the enduring nature of Donald Duck.
I have to use public transport almost daily and my headphones have been the security blanket for getting through those loud and noisy bus, train or tram rides. Since the headphones broke, I’ve had to focus my concentration on something else to block out the disturbing sounds. So I started listening to people.
Mom travels with her two little boys. The smaller one sits quietly in a stroller with a dummy in his mouth.
– You were cute when you were born. Did you know that Donald Duck was created when you were
born? Mom, did they create Donald Duck when Tomi was born?
– No, they didn’t. Donald Duck is quite a bit older. Have you heard that even grandpa has read
Donald Duck when he was little?
– Well, I guess everyone has been a baby sometime.
