We don't know anything about Normal Life – an air of mystery surrounds this new band – but we can tell you it's bloody good.

It could be the incessant throbbing, various pitches of keyboard tone or the disco hi-hat that makes ‘Spiderwebs’ by  Normal Life such an intriguing proposition.  Any kind of discomfort one might feel is eased once the voice comes in, a Jason Spacemen type of sound, a sad refrain that elevates ‘Spiderwebs’ into something special.

‘Violence’ initially screams 1990s trance before relaxing and taking a different path–  a kind of fractured beauty permeates the edges while we sing along at the end. With these two tracks Normal Life keep you guessing. When was the last time music suprised you?

Normal Life is Artturi Taira and Miikka Koivisto.
‘Spiderwebs’ / ‘Violence’ is out today on 10” vinyl via Paris based label Left Bank Recordings.
