Welcome to Tales From The Bus, an occasional series where Anna Jokela makes her regular travels more bearable by listening in. Episode one features two pre-school kids.
I have to use public transport almost daily and my headphones have been the security blanket for getting through those loud and noisy bus, train or tram rides. Since the headphones broke, I’ve had to focus my concentration on something else to block out the disturbing sounds. So I started listening to people.
Amongst a group of preschool kids, two of them start talking about the views passing them by and growing up.
preschool kid 1 – That’s the shop where I came from!
preschool kid 2 – I would like to be a bus driver.
preschool kid 1 – Hey, that is the shop where I came from last summer.
preschool kid 2 – When I grow up, I can come and meet you at that shop.
preschool kid 1 – Haha!
preschool kid 2 – Hey look at that!
